Now launching in London

Your restaurant.
Your guests. Your revenue.

Delivery platforms take 14 to 30 percent plus VAT of every order, including the orders from your own regulars. Tafel builds you your own ordering and booking website: guests pay you directly, you keep the customer data, and no one takes commission.

How is your restaurant doing online?

Type the name of your restaurant. In 15 seconds you get an honest score out of 100, with your own Google reviews and photos in the mix.

The maths, out loud

What a platform really costs you

Public UK rates, worth checking for yourself: around 14% plus VAT when you deliver or hand over the order yourself, and up to 30% plus VAT when the platform delivers, plus an admin fee of roughly 50p per order.

£3.36

What a platform takes from a £20 collection order you hand over yourself (14% + VAT).

£7.20

What a platform takes from a £20 order they deliver (30% + VAT).

£0.00

Commission on that same order through your own Tafel website. Guests pay you directly.

300 orders a month at £20, self-delivered, is over £1,000 a month in platform fees. Every month again. That is the bill Tafel removes.

Calculate it with your own numbers

You hand over about £1,058 a month, £12,696 a year.

Formula: orders x amount x 14% (or 30% delivered) + VAT + 50p per order. Public rates; check them yourself.

What you get

A complete ordering system, not just a website

🌐

Your own website, your own domain

Built in your restaurant's style, on a domain that is registered to you. If we ever part ways, the site address stays yours.

🛒

Online ordering and booking

Guests order and pay on your site with Apple Pay, Google Pay and cards. The money settles directly to your own account. Tafel never holds your money.

🖥️

Kitchen screen and receipt printer

Orders appear on a kitchen screen and print automatically on a standard thermal receipt printer, the same hardware the platforms use.

Reviews on autopilot

Every happy guest automatically gets a polite request for a Google review a couple of hours after their order. Your rating climbs while you cook.

📣

Win-back your regulars

Guests who have not ordered in a while get a friendly nudge, automatically, with your menu one tap away. Your guest list is yours to use.

🛟

A safety net for every order

If an order is not picked up in time, the system re-alerts, texts the owner, and as a last resort refunds the guest automatically with an apology. An order can fail loudly, but it can never disappear quietly.

How it works

From scan to live in about a week

Run the scan

Type your restaurant's name. You get an honest score and see exactly what the platforms own of your online presence.

Get your free trial site in 48 hours

We build a working trial version of your site: your name, your menu, your colours, ordering included. Free, nothing to commit to. If you do not love it, we bin it.

Go live

You approve, we connect payments to your own account, set up the kitchen screen and printer, and you take your first commission-free order.

Your domain

Registered in your name. Many providers keep the domain and switch it off when you leave. We think that is the whole problem.

Your guest data

Names, orders, emails: yours. Not ours, and never a platform's. You can always export everything.

Your money, directly

Payments settle straight to your own account through your own payment provider. Tafel never sits between you and your revenue.

Proof, not promises

Live and taking real orders

Eethuis Deniz, Alkmaar (NL)
★ 4.3 on Google · live on Tafel

Our first restaurant runs entirely on Tafel: its own website, online ordering and booking, kitchen screen, automatic receipts, and zero commission per order. Visit eethuisdeniz.nl and place an order yourself. It is not a demo.

London is next. The first restaurants we onboard in the UK get the most attention we will ever be able to give: the founders, personally, building your site and setting up your kitchen.

Questions owners ask

Straight answers

Is it really zero commission?

Yes. Tafel charges a fixed price for the system; per order we charge nothing. Guests pay through your own payment account and the money settles directly to your bank account. Tafel never touches your money.

Do I have to leave Just Eat?

No. Tafel runs alongside any platform. Most owners shift their regulars to their own channel first, then decide for themselves what the platform is still worth.

Who owns the domain and the guest data?

You do. The domain is registered in your name and your guest data is exportable at any time. If you ever leave, both go with you.

What hardware do I need?

Any tablet or PC with a browser for the kitchen screen, and a standard thermal receipt printer, the same Epson hardware the platforms use. Receipts print automatically.

What if the kitchen misses an order?

The system re-alerts the screen, then texts the owner. If nothing happens, the order is cancelled and the guest is automatically refunded in full with an apology. Nobody pays for food that is not coming.

What does it cost?

Ask us. UK launch pricing is set per conversation while we onboard the first restaurants, and there is nothing to pay before you have seen your own working trial site.
